Ryanair buys more planes
According to the travel industry, people want to make up for lost time due to the pandemic. Back then they couldn’t do much with their money but buy things. Now the holidays are centralized again.
The increase is due in part to the lifting of travel restrictions for the Chinese. The China Outbound Tourism Research Institute expects that about six million Chinese tourists will go to southern Europe this year.
Ryanair has just ordered 150 new aircraft in anticipation of a surge in demand. In addition, the airline has purchased another 150 aircraft. Lufthansa and EasyJet confirm the increased demand for airline tickets.
Italian travel and tourism company Alpitour expects its turnover to increase by 30 percent this year. “We submit more than 30,000 quotes per day. These are numbers we’ve never seen before,” says Alpitour’s CEO. There are also many bookings for the Christmas holidays.
