Nvidia announces the first games that will receive DLSS 3.0 support over the next week. The functionality is available for some titles at the time of writing, but for now only with the GeForce RTX 4090 GPU.

The first games with Deep Learning Super Sampling 3 support are now available, too late Nvidia in a blog post I know. These include Marvel’s PC port of Spider-Man Remastered, Super People, Loopmancer and the ‘Fuyun Court’ justice graphic show. Microsoft Flight Simulator and A Plague Tale: Requiem will then receive an update to support DLSS 3 on October 17 and 18, respectively. F1 22 will get support for a new Nvidia feature ‘soon’.

Games can be played with DLSS 3 after the update from the mentioned dates, provided you use an Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 series GPU. Practically speaking, this means that the update is only suitable for systems with an RTX 4090 at the moment, since The 4080 won’t be released until November. The RTX 4090 was officially released on October 12th. Users with an old RTX video card can use DLSS 2 Super Resolution in DLSS 3 games.

Later, Cyberpunk 2077, Hitman 3, Stalker 2, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will receive support for DLSS 3. So far, 35 games have been announced that will support the technology. In the same blog post, Nvidia also announced DLSS 2.0 support for Kena: Bridge of Spirits, PC Building Simulator 2, Destroy All Humans, and more! 2, Gotham Knights and Sackboy: A Great Adventure.

DLSS 3.0 is the latest version of Nvidia’s upgrade technology and offers the creation of “new frames,” among other things. Nvidia explains to Tweakers How does technology offer a kind of intermediate frame rate to allow for “significantly higher frame rates”. In addition, DLSS 3 also remains an upgrade technology, just like previous versions. Games are rendered at a lower resolution and then enlarged to a higher resolution using artificial intelligence. This means that the technology should provide higher frame rates without significantly affecting image quality.
