Nintendo Shows New Gameplay The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Games – News

Nintendo has released a video showing the company about ten minutes of new gameplay footage from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This game will be the successor to Breath of the Wild from 2017.

the video Hosted by Zelda producer Eiji Onuma. It also provides a gameplay demo with comments and clarifications here and there. The images show, among other things, the new skills Link has at his disposal in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

What is remarkable, among other things, is that the game world has changed compared to what it is in Breath of the Wild. For example, there are land masses that float in the air and can be accessed in a variety of ways. The video shows One Direction, a rock falling. By climbing on it and turning back time using the recovery ability, the rocks go back up and the island that floats in the air can be entered.

In addition, it is not always necessary to climb mountains and hills. In the case of a cave, the player can enter it and use the climb ability to jump through the ceiling to land on top of the mountain.

Moreover, it is possible to glue weapons and items together via the Fuse ability, after which it works even better. For example, a rock can be attached to a bat to deal more damage. Enemies can also use such weapons. There is also the ability of Ultrahand to create some kind of vehicle. In the video this can be seen by lashing the logs together and adding two propellers to make a kind of speedboat or hovercraft.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launches May 12th on Nintendo Switch. Nintendo has already announced the arrival of this game in 2019 and shared gameplay footage for the first time in 2021.
