Monique de Bovery (60 years old) appears for the first time with her friend Otto Klein. Otto, who heads a large clothing company, has preferred to stay in the background for the past year. But last weekend he accompanied Monique to the De Toppers party at Johan Cruijff ArenA. “We like to do it our own way,” Monique tells the story. “It’s been almost a year since we started dating and it still feels great every time we’re together. We’re both busy entrepreneurs and also spend a lot of time outside. But we call every day and, if possible, we’re together on the weekends. It’s nice too.” Not to be together every day. Then he likes it when you’re together again. I look forward to it when I drive to his house.

Do her doubts about moving have anything to do with any plans to move in with Otto? ‘nothing. Otto and I don’t even talk about living together. We both think planning your future together is a little old-fashioned. We let life wash us over and we don’t think much about the future. More important is how we feel when we are together and that we are having a good time now.
