Xbox marketer Aaron Greenberg says Microsoft is pleased with how Hi-Fi Rush is doing with consumers.
He did it on Twitter. “Hi-Fi Rush has been a ‘breathtaking success’ for us and our players across all major metrics and expectations. We couldn’t be happier with what the Tango Gameworks team has delivered.”
Greenberg’s comment is not accidental. during the Chaos Game Decides Podcast Earlier this week, journalist Jeff Grubb claimed that Microsoft would be disappointed with the performance of a game that appeared on Game Pass earlier this year. The game can also be purchased separately.
“I heard the game didn’t make the money it needed. The game received good reviews and people were raving about it, so where do you put the blame? Is it the price? Is it because the game came out all of a sudden? More can be sold? Or is it because of Game Pass?”
During Developer_Direct in January, Hi-Fi Rush was revealed. Then it was also announced that the game would be released the same night. The game appeared on Xbox, PC and Game Pass. The colorful action game allows players to fight and platform to the beat of the music. While it is not necessary to follow the tempo, it does increase the damage. Players take on the role of Chai, who wants to be a rock star one day, and takes on the robots of an evil corporation. The game features unique and licensed music, including from Nine Inch Nails and The Black Keys.
Ron Vorstermans awarded the game a 9 in his Gamer.nl review: “Hi-Fi Rush is a very clever action-platformer that executes its central concept of rhythm very consistently. The animation is on an exceptional level. Hi-Fi Rush really is just the kind of game that makes you scream from above.” Rooftops How Cool Video Games Can Be”.
