Israel-Hamas warHamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said in a televised speech on Wednesday that any arrangement to end the war and rule Gaza without involvement from his militant movement was an “illusion”. “We are open to discussions about ideas or initiatives that would end the (Israeli) occupation and open the door to a Palestinian home order,” he said. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today insisted that Israel “will not stand still” until Hamas is defeated and that the terror movement will have no role in Gaza’s future.
