Lenovo shares undisclosed specifications for AMD Ryzen PRO 5000 CPUs – Computer – News

Lenovo has published unannounced specifications for the AMD Ryzen PRO 5000 desktop processor. These chips are for businesses and will include additional security features. AMD previously released Ryzen PRO 5000 CPUs for laptops.

The top model, the Ryzen 9 5945 Pro, will have twelve cores with a clock speed of 3.0GHz and a boost clock of up to 4.7GHz. This means that the processor runs at a slightly lower clock rate than the Ryzen 9 5900X. The chip also gets 64MB L3 cache and official DDR4-3200 support. The company continues with the eight-core Ryzen 7 model and the six-core Ryzen 5 CPU. Lenovo is also talking about 65W TDPs.

AMD has been releasing Ryzen PRO CPU for quite some time now. These processors are intended for businesses and will include additional security features and extended support. Chips can also be managed remotely. The chips are very similar to their consumer counterparts and use the AM4 platform, just like current Ryzen 5000 consumer CPUs.
