What do you prefer to do in your spare time?
“In the summer it is great to walk here. But in the winter it can be very cold, up to -45°C. In the winter months life goes on, it is quieter because there are almost no tourists. But even then we have a great time. We share In a curling competition or we go skiing, we’ll be on the slopes in no time. In the evening we go for a drink with friends or have a drink at the pub.”
What do you miss most about Holland?
“Our family and friends. But I also miss the rich history of the Netherlands, the wide cultural offering, beautiful museums, and theater and theater companies.”
Are you planning to return?
“We don’t have plans for that. But life can always turn out differently. Seven years ago we didn’t know we’d be living here. We’re really enjoying ourselves right now, and we’ll see what we’ll do in five years” time. “
