This mirror reports. The duo reportedly carried the body on their shoulders to a post office in the town of Carlow in southeastern Ireland. A branch employee immediately noticed that the old man had a pale face and called the police because they thought he was dead.

When the store clerk expressed his concern, the suspects dumped the body on the ground and fled. One of the suspects had previously walked into the post office and tried to claim the old man’s pension. However, he was told that only the man himself could receive the payment and no one else could collect it. Then the two returned with the corpse and tried to get his pension.

The Irish Mirror reported that the dead man was Pedar Doyle, a man in his 70s who lived in a nearby house. As the suspects fled, guards and paramedics arrived and identified the body. The coroner was notified and a pathologist was called to perform an autopsy.

Irish police suspect Doyle may have died of natural causes, but it is too early to rule out other possibilities. Officers are looking for the two men and are investigating the accident.
