Honor announces 100 smartphones with new Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC in China – Tablets & Phones – News

Honor is announcing the Honor 100 and 100 Pro in China, with the entry-level model equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 soc recently announced. Smartphones cost at least 321 and 436 euros. It is not clear whether there will be a European release.

The Honor 100 has a 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2664 x 1200 pixels. The Pro model has a slightly larger 6.78-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2700 x 1224 pixels. Both displays have a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and support the full DCI-P3 color spectrum.

The entry-level model also has the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, which Qualcomm positions between the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. The processor has a clock speed of up to 2.63 GHz with the performance core. As far as we know, the Honor 100 is the first smartphone to get the relevant SoC. For the Honor 100 Pro, the Chinese brand opted for last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

Both devices are equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.95 aperture. A 12MP wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture is also available in both cases. The Pro version also has a telephoto camera with a 32-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Both devices have a 50MP selfie camera, though the actual versions of the sensors are slightly different. Both cameras support 4K video recording.

Both the Honor 100 and Honor 100 Pro have a 5,000 mAh battery and support 100W charging. The devices are available in versions with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage and 16 GB RAM and 256 or 512 GB storage. The Pro version is also available with 1TB of storage.
