Google Duo integrates with Meet – Computer – News

Google is integrating Duo video calling app with Meet. This makes the only chat and calling app from Meet Google. Duo users keep their conversations. They also get additional functionality that already exists in Meet, such as large group chats and virtual backgrounds.

The application will gradually stop in time.

Moving to Meet also gives Duo users better integration with other Google products and third-party services. Meet is integrated into Gmail, Calendar, and Assistant, and has integration for Slack and Spotify, for example. The change will be implemented in the coming weeks, but Google has not given a specific date for it.
