Google is integrating Duo video calling app with Meet. This makes the only chat and calling app from Meet Google. Duo users keep their conversations. They also get additional functionality that already exists in Meet, such as large group chats and virtual backgrounds.

Moving to Meet also gives Duo users better integration with other Google products and third-party services.
