South Korean boy band BTS has announced a hiatus. During that time, the seven members will not be releasing music as a group, but will focus on their solo career.
BTS has also taken a number of breaks in the past, but after that it was only for a short time. The men immediately promised that they would return as a group, but no date was set for a return. “We will all take time to enjoy and experience a lot of things. We promise we will come back one day, we are more mature than we are now.”
The boy group broke the news in a video released by BTS to celebrate the group’s ninth anniversary. The men said, among other things, that they had a “difficult period”. Band member RM, who writes a lot of lyrics for BTS’s songs, said he had trouble coming up with the lyrics. His colleague Suga agreed.
