EA agrees to revive Fight Night boxing series – Games – News

Electronic Arts may have agreed to “revive” the Fight Night boxing series. Sources tell this to VGC journalist Tom Henderson, who regularly shares valid information about future EA projects.

Unknown sources EA Sports say VGC The new Fight Night game has been approved and entered early development, although this has been paused. Henderson wrote that development has been paused because priority is currently in the next EA Sports UFC game, which is due to be released at the end of next year. So the new Fight Night title will likely have to wait “a few more years”. Electronic Arts declined to officially comment on VGC.

Five Fight Night titles have been released so far. All games got a file Metacritic points 80 or higher, except for some mobile ports and smartphone games. The last game in the series, Fight Night Champion, was released in 2011.

In recent years, licensing complications have appeared in the world of boxing, and as a result EA has focused primarily on the UFC, VGC wrote. However, fans and boxers are said to have called on EA to bring back the series and that EA is “aware of the demand,” sources said.
