Roompot and Landal Greenparks will cut jobs due to consolidation of office organizations. According to the FNV trade union, the reorganization affects approximately three hundred employees. Of these, about a third will have to leave the company.
The combined holiday packages say most staff will be offered “the same or another suitable role”.
Companies did not report exactly how many people would lose their jobs. Roompot and Landal now employ 650 people in offices in the Netherlands, both full-time and part-time. There are still 520 full-time positions, but how they are filled depends, among other things, on the number of part-time employees. However, the spokesperson confirms that the four Dutch offices will continue to exist.
Roompot acquired Landal Greenparks in April last year. The companies say that as a result of this acquisition, some positions will be filled twice. There are new employee roles within the reorganization, but some roles have also been lost.
In total, Roompot and Landal have more than 5,500 employees in parks and offices in the Netherlands and abroad. The two holiday groups feature 32,000 accommodations in eleven countries, from camping pitches to villas.
After the takeover, the Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) obliged the companies to sell thirty parks to a counterparty. Otherwise there is a risk of creating too big a party. After the sale, Roompot and Landal were left with 305 holiday destinations.
