Nowhere does it say this is cloud related; There are nearly 500 million active Windows 11 users, and many of them are still without an Internet connection. Do you really think MS will leave these people out? Do you really think they are illegally collecting your data, creating an inhumanly large server farm (for those 500 million active users) and want to pay you for bandwidth for all the audio and images, just to see what you’re saying?

The fact that everything is a separate function that you can turn on or off is a good thing, right?
Go back a few years and people were also concerned about the spell checker in email. MS/Google shouldn’t know what you’re writing, because they can only improve it with software (and who knows what they’ll do with it?!)

Make sure they want to differentiate themselves with Windows 12 from, say, Apple or Linux (which is constantly improving) so they don’t lose market share.

You point out that they also push “that” to the W10.
Copilot is the name of a product that does multiple things. I certainly don’t rule out the possibility that this includes both on-premises and cloud-based services and may not do certain things on some systems because the system is not robust enough.
What we do know is that an important pillar of W12 will be the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

You also say that MS imposes its will. They make a product and it is up to you to choose to use it or not. They do not require you to use Windows or update.

Do you also complain to car brands about having a radio or heater in the car? For example, I personally don’t use a cigarette lighter, but it’s still there. I assure you that I have not complained about this matter to anyone yet.
