Ceuta mourns Mina and Hoda, victims of the gas explosion in Antwerp

Ceuta President Juan Vivas expressed his condolences to the families and friends of the victims on behalf of all residents of the enclave. Thursday’s explosion destroyed the top floor of the building in Hoboken.

In addition to Mina Mark and her daughter Hoda, two other people died in the explosion. Among the victims was Moroccan Mustafa Zitouni Mohsen, 53 years old, who had been living in Belgium for two years. The fourth victim is Muhammad Paul Al-Harif, 44 years old, who had returned from his night work a few minutes ago. All of them were buried in Morocco.

Mina and Hoda were only in Belgium for a short time. Hoda attended a private primary school in Antwerp, and has been involved with the Down Syndrome Association in Ceuta since she was three years old. The school that Hoda attended in Ceuta, she remembered with great warmth.

The gas explosion deeply shocked the Moroccan community in Ceuta. Condolence registers have been opened in the city where people can express their condolences.
