Baldur’s Gate 3 creator is working on an Xbox version, but it has technical issues GamesRadar+

Larian Studios says it’s working on an Xbox version of Baldur’s Gate 3, but says it’s experiencing technical problems. This is why the company does not yet want to confirm whether the Xbox version will actually appear. The Belgian developer recently announced the PS5 version.

developer says on reddit An Xbox version is in the works, but there are issues with split-screen co-op. In a press release, the company wrote that the situation on the Series X and Series S consoles is not “quite the same,” making it clear that the Series S’ lower specs play a role in the technical issues.

Only when Larian Studios finds a solution to this problem does the developer want to officially announce an Xbox version. The company does not seem to be sure that the issue can be resolved and therefore does not want to officially announce the release for fear of having to cancel or postpone it later.

Larian Studios recently announced that Baldur’s Gate 3 will be coming to PlayStation 5 on August 31st, along with PC and Mac. Since the company didn’t mention the Xbox version, some fans thought it was an exclusive deal. This was quickly deniedbut the company still wants to explain this in more detail.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is an RPG set in the Forgotten Realms of Dungeons & Dragons universe. Previous games were made by BioWare, and the last one came out 23 years ago. The new game has been available as Early Access since October 2020.
