ASUS introduces its ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD monitor. This “superscreen” will have a 49-inch screen and a QD OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. The manufacturer also offers a 4K gaming monitor with a refresh rate of 144Hz and a 25-inch 1080p360 screen.
The ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD has a resolution of 5120×1440 pixels, and therefore has an aspect ratio of 32:9. The company reported this on Tuesday during Computex. The screen will feature a QD OLED panel from Samsung, which will be equipped with cooling with a heatsink and graphene film behind the screen. According to ASUS, the peak screen brightness is 1,000 cd/m². The screen also supports variable refresh rate and has an 1800R curvature. This means that the curve corresponds to a circle with a diameter of 1800 mm.
The 49-inch ultrawide also gets USB-C connectivity with USB-PD up to 90W, as well as DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1. The monitor also supports ASUS DisplayWidget Center, which allows users to customize monitor settings from their PC with a mouse and keyboard. The monitor also features a built-in KVM switch that allows users to control two connected devices using a single mouse and keyboard. The manufacturer has not yet shared a suggested retail price or release date.

ASUS also offers two ROG gaming monitors. ROG Swift PG38UQ is an IPS monitor with a screen size of 38 inches, a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a refresh rate of 144Hz. ASUS mentions its advertised gtg response time of 1ms and claims that the monitor can display 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. The monitor also gets a variable refresh rate, DisplayHDR 600 certification, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and a USB hub.
ROG Strix XG259QN, in turn, is a 24.5-inch screen with Full HD resolution. This screen has a refresh rate of 360Hz, although it can be overclocked to 380Hz. The screen in question also gets an IPS panel. The manufacturer advertises a “less than 1ms” response time gtg with this monitor. The monitor gets a variable refresh rate with ELMB support to reduce motion blur, DisplayPort 1.4 connectivity, two HDMI 2.0 ports, two USB 3.2 ports, and a 3.5mm jack for audio.
ASUS has not yet announced a specific date for the release of these two screens either. It is also not known yet the cost of the two screens.
