The research is conducted in two parts
The first part of the study focuses on the “systemic causes” of abusive behaviour. Examples include “competitive environment, behavior, attitude, impact of temporary contracts, and working with freelancers.” According to the NPO, this part of the research should lead to specific recommendations for the future.
The second part of the study focuses on the aggressive behavior itself. This relates to the form in which the infringing behavior occurred, the signals in place and what was done with those signals.
Foreign Minister Oslo believes that an independent commission issuing a formal order to investigate and oversee progress is a “logical step”. According to the minister, the non-profit organization is the “appropriate party” to launch the investigation. At its request, the Media Authority is also involved in this matter.
The results of the study are expected to be released in the first half of 2023.
