Apple warns of a security vulnerability in iPhone and other devices | Technique

Apple has warned owners of iPhone, iPad and Mac models to update their drivers. The company does this because it contains a vulnerability that allows it to take control of devices.

The US company released two security reports this week that received relatively little attention. The warning includes iPhone 6 and later models, all iPad Pros, iPads 5th generation or later, and Macbooks, according to a statement on Apple’s website.

Unauthorized entry

According to the company, the older version of iOS contains a vulnerability that could allow hackers to gain unauthorized access to the device. “This opportunity can be effectively seized,” Apple said. The company does not say how the vulnerabilities were discovered or where or by whom they were discovered.

To fix the flaws, Apple urges smartphone users to download iOS or iPadOS 15.6.1, while for Macs, it’s macOS Monterey 12.5.1. Safari browser on macOS computers must also be updated to version 15.6.
