Details of the ASUS ROG laptop with unannounced Ryzen 7000X3D processor have surfaced early. Ryzen 9 7945HX3D will be the first laptop CPU with 3D V-Cache. This should give the processor 128MB of L3 cache.
The first mention of the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX3D appeared on Chinese social media Weibo. Note the 9550pro hardware leak. The processor will receive 16 Zen 4 cores for a total of 32 threads. The CPU has a 3D V-Cache memory and thus receives 128MB of L3 cache. The current Ryzen 7045HX series without a stacked 3D cache has 64MB of L3 cache. More details about the new X3D laptop processor are not yet known.
The laptop with the CPU has now also appeared on a British webshop, Note VideoCardz, among others. It’s about the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 Laptop. This laptop will have a 17.3-inch screen, 32GB of DDR5 memory, 2TB SSD storage, and a 90Wh battery. The ROG Strix Scar 17 also has an RTX 4090 GPU, and the price of the laptop is £3,904.79, which is about €4,519.
AMD has not yet officially announced the Ryzen 9 7945HX3D. It will be the first X3D laptop processor with 3D V-Cache. These processors receive an additional 64MB of L3 cache on top of a regular CPUHe dies stacked. The company introduced this feature in the Ryzen 7 5800X3D and released three desktop Ryzen 7000 processors with 3D V-Cache earlier this year.
