AMD has officially listed the Ryzen 5 8400F and Ryzen 7 8700F on its website. These models do not have an IGPU and were previously released apparently only for the Chinese market. Now it seems that CPUs are available worldwide, but only to OEMs.
AMD has both Ryzen 5 8400F as Ryzen 7 8700F published on its website, including details of specifications. This is the first time that the company has officially presented these models. The CPUs were featured last month during a company presentation, but no details were known at the time. It also seemed at the time that the models might only be released in the Chinese market, but now that doesn’t seem to be the case. The 8400F and 8700F will be available worldwide, but not for individual sale. They are only for sale to OEMs, Writes Videocardzmaking availability dependent on manufacturers.
Both CPUs feature the AM5 design and are based on AMD’s Zen 4 architecture. The models do not have an integrated GPU. The Ryzen 5 8400F has six cores and twelve threads with a top speed of 4.7 GHz and a base clock speed of 4.2 GHz. The Ryzen 7 8700F is slightly faster with a top speed of 5GHz, but its base clock speed is 4.1GHz. Both models have 16MB of L3 cache, but the 8400F has 6MB of L2 cache, and the 8700F has 8MB. Both models also have a maximum TDP of 65W. The 8700F itself has eight cores and sixteen threads. Pricing and final availability are not yet known.
