King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima head to Greece in December. The State Information Service announced that the royal couple will then pay a state visit to the southern European country at the invitation of President Katrina Sakellaropoulou.
The visit will take place from 13 to 15 December. During the trip, economics, innovation, sustainability, migration and human rights are given attention.
The state visit is the second to be announced in a short time. In November Willem-Alexander and Maxima will visit King Harald of Norway and his wife Queen Sonja.
In July, the royal couple went on a state visit for the first time since the outbreak of the Corona crisis. Germany was then the destination. Greece is no stranger to the king and queen. The much discussed holiday villa is located in Peloponnese.
