A major setback for Megan: the innovative Netflix series canceled it | the Royal family

Last summer, it was announced that Megan and her company, Archewell Productions, would be developing the animated series Pearl You will make it to the streaming service. The Netflix show will be about a twelve-year-old girl who goes on adventures and is inspired by many influential women from history.

The idea is said to have been entirely invented by Megan. “Like many girls of her age, our heroine, Pearl, is on her way to discovering herself as she overcomes the challenges of everyday life,” the Duchess wrote in a statement at the time.

55 billion dollars

The animated series was part of the multi-year agreement Meghan and husband Prince Harry had with Netflix in 2020 – for which they made more series, documentaries and children’s programmes. Among other things, the Sussex family will be making a series about Harry’s work at Invictus Games, which he was still in the Netherlands for last month.

The streaming service lost about $55 billion in market value in a single day two weeks ago. Investors took the share of the sale after Netflix announced that it lost net subscribers for the first time since 2011. In addition, the company expects to lose another two million paying customers in the current quarter.
