The news agency reported that the Israeli army accuses Hamas of not adhering to the truce. The Israeli army says Hamas fired a missile at Israel before the deadline.
Both sides reported that fighting broke out again before six o’clock on Friday morning (Dutch time). The Israeli army said that it intercepted a missile launched from the Gaza Strip, and Hamas media reported about gunfire and explosions in northern Gaza.
There was also an attack in Jerusalem on Thursday morning, for which Hamas claimed responsibility later in the day. The two men who opened fire at a bus station are believed to belong to Hamas. Two women and a man were killed. According to the armed movement, this was in response to the actions of the Israeli army in the West Bank and the treatment of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons.
The ceasefire was extended for at least one day on Thursday. Israel did so “in light of the mediators’ efforts to continue the hostage release process, and in accordance with the terms of the agreement.”
