The engineer displays the RP2040 microcontroller in the form of a LEGO minifigure – PC – .Geeks

An engineer has created a printed circuit board with an RP2040 microcontroller in the shape of a LEGO astronaut, complete with an RGB suit. In addition to the Raspberry Pi chip and RGB LEDs, the design includes several Stemma connectors and a USB-C port.

FigPI, engineer Ben Shockley represented its development board callsHe has a set of nine RGB lights on the right leg of the LEGO astronaut. Below is the reset button. The left leg has a “boot” button that can also be programmed, so users can reassign it to a different function. On the back are two Stemma connectors and a USB-C port. The board is programmable in CircuitPython, which makes it possible to, among other things, control the lighting, sensors, and actuators that can be connected to the board.

Earlier, Shockley had already made a similar design, called the Mini SAM M4. It is powered by Atmel SAMD51G19A processor and also has RGB leg lighting. The Mini SAM also includes a 26-pin gpio. It is unclear if FigPi also has such pins, as they are not visible in the images anyway. The engineer offers the SAMD51G board in five different colors for sale on his website, with prices ranging from $25 to $30. It’s unclear if FigPi will also be offered for sale, and how much it will cost.
