Protest at the Duke of Westminster's wedding

Protesters made some noise on Friday over the Duke of Westminster’s wedding in Chester, England. As the newlyweds exited Chester Cathedral after the ceremony, orange smoke billowed from the crowd. Prince William witnessed the protest. He was standing outside at that time with the newlyweds.

Just Stop Oil explains the protest at the wedding in a statement. “Weddings are a time when we come together to celebrate and commit to the future. But for countless millions of people around the world, there is no future unless we come together to stop the use of oil and gas.

The 33-year-old Duke of Westminster, Hugh Grosvenor, is one of the richest people in the United Kingdom. “What do we value more? The fortunes of billionaires like the Duke of Westminster or the lives of billions destroyed by the fossil fuel industry?
