Helldivers 2 maker Arrowhead has a new CEO. Founder and former CEO Johan Bilstedt made the announcement on Wednesday. This position will be held by Shams Jorjani, who previously worked at Paradox, among others. Pilestedt will focus more on making games within the studio.
“I have decided to appoint Shams Al-Jurjani as the new CEO of Arrowhead.” Johan Billstedt writes on social media. The new CEO has years of experience in management positions at Paradox Entertainment, among other companies. Pilistedt will take on a new role as CEO and head of the studio. He says on social media that the move will allow him to spend more time on the company’s games and community.
Arrowhead Games is best known for its Helldivers series. The second game, released earlier this year, was well received by critics and players. However, earlier this month, there was buzz surrounding the game, when publisher Sony said that the PC version of Helldivers 2 would require a PlayStation account. This was reversed a few days later.
