Wietze de Jager feels “very special” to have immigrated to Bonaire with his family. It was announced this week that he will no longer be heard on Radio 538 as he is moving to the island.
The DJ stopped his morning show last year in consultation with the channel, because it was difficult to integrate it with his family life.
He advises his Instagram followers to also go to Bonaire. “If you have the chance: do it!”, de Jager writes.
The move “sounds pretty good right now,” the former radio DJ wrote. “But maybe in a few months we will think about it completely differently,” he adds. He concluded his speech with a photo of himself with his children: “I don’t think this view will get boring any time soon.”
De Jager actually shared a photo via Instagram on Thursday that he and his wife Lieke Veld left for Bonaire. Radio 538 has already thanked him for his years of work.
