OnePlus announces the Open, the brand’s first foldable phone. When opened, the device has a 7.82-inch screen. There’s also a 6.31-inch display on the outside. The OnePlus Open will be released on October 26 in the Netherlands and Belgium at a suggested retail price of €1,799.
The OnePlus Open is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 soc. Inside, the device has a 7.82-inch flexible AMOLED display with a 2K resolution of 2440 x 2268 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The screen supports the full DCI-P3 color spectrum and has a peak brightness of 2800 cd/m². According to OnePlus, the main screen can be folded at least half a million times. The size of the AMOLED screen on the outside of the device is 6.31 inches and has the same specifications except for the resolution of 2484 x 1116. pixel. Which is also due to the ratio being different to 2 thousand.
OnePlus has integrated three camera lenses into the camera module on the outside of the device. This island contains a 48-megapixel main camera, a 64-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. Inside there is also a single 20MP selfie camera.
At the moment, only one version of the OnePlus Open has been announced, which is with 16GB Lpddr5 memory and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The battery capacity is 4805 mAh, and it can be charged at a power of 67 watts, which, according to OnePlus, means that the device can be fully charged in 42 minutes. The brand provides a compatible charger and cable with the device, which is only available in Emerald Dusk colour.
