A hacker group linked to North Korea has attempted to steal military and nuclear secrets. The US, UK and South Korea have warned against it, calling it a ‘global cyber espionage campaign’. The Americans have announced a reward of up to $10 million for information about the hacker group. They are said to have mainly targeted government institutions and the defense sector.

Hackers are also targeting the aviation, energy and medical sectors, according to Britain’s National Cyber ​​Security Centre. They sought data from tanks, torpedoes, fighter jets, satellites, government nuclear power plants, nuclear power plants, robots and 3D printers.

The ministry names North Korean Rim Jong Hyeok as one of the men behind the hacker group. The group is said to be under the control of North Korea’s military intelligence.

According to the US, Rim and others used the hostage software to attack hospitals and other healthcare institutions. The ransom was used to finance more “malicious cyber activities”.
