A few years ago, it was still a matter of a handful of streaming services, namely Netflix, Prime, and a little later Disney+. It was cheaper back then and almost everything could be found on the streaming giants. Now that has all changed.

There are so many streaming services out there today that you won’t be able to access all the movies and shows unless you’re willing to pay a fortune. Enough people have had enough of that, and that’s something Apple TV+ is now taking notice of.
Apple TV+ will now spend significantly less on original content, because it doesn’t deliver the results it wants. Here’s how much the first season cost to cut $40 million more than expected. The show’s creators have now been told that if they don’t spend less, the entire series will be cancelled.
An impossible race to catch up with.
Apple was willing to spend a few million dollars in hopes of overtaking Netflix, but now it seems to be standing above everyone else once again. Netflix now has nearly 278 million subscribers and those numbers, along with its revenue, continue to rise.
While Netflix is willing to spend huge amounts of money on a single project, it makes enough money to sustain the formula. Years ago, Prime and Disney+ tried to take the crown, but that didn’t seem to happen, something Apple TV+ is now learning the hard way.
