Microsoft has shown off new gameplay footage for Perfect Dark. In the trailer we see what the game’s story, combat system, and stealth function look like. It is not yet clear when Perfect Dark will be released on the market.

in Trailer It shows how the story of this reboot takes place in a future version of the Egyptian capital, Cairo. The player takes on the role of Joanna Darke, an undercover agent from the dataDyne organization pursuing a dangerous criminal. Dark must investigate the source of some technological breakthrough that could suddenly threaten the lives of millions. The images also show that the reboot uses a first-person perspective, and that freedom of choice and gadgets play a major role.

The developers have Initiative and Crystal Dynamics In their own words Inspired by the first two Perfect Dark games, but developed a completely new story. Players do not have to have played the first two games.

Two Perfect Dark games have been released so far, the last dating back to 2005. Both games were developed by Rare, but although Rare is now a Microsoft studio, it is not involved in the reboot.
