Taylor Swift fans have been gathering on the streets of Vienna since yesterday after the pop star’s concerts were cancelled. In various places in the center, “Swiftists” exchange bracelets with song lyrics and sing along to the songs.

Swift’s three concerts in Vienna were cancelled after police arrested two men suspected of planning an attack at one of the concerts. A third suspect has now been arrested.

On Cornelius Street, a reference to the song Cornelia StreetFans decorated a tree with Swifties bracelets. Fans can also get free food and supplies throughout the center upon presentation of their ticket.

Norte de Vries, 26, had a ticket to yesterday’s cancelled concert and joined other Swift fans in central Vienna that evening. “The whole square was full of Swifties, everyone was wearing the outfit they were actually going to wear to the concert and they were singing really loudly.”

At the Swarovski store in Vienna, people with a ticket could get a free necklace yesterday and today, which led to long lines, says de Vries. She also tried to get one herself, “but it was gone within an hour.”

Elsewhere there is free ice cream, a free burger or a free drink. Many of the city’s museums offer free admission to anyone with a concert ticket.

Cinemas sell buckets of popcorn in the style of The Eras Tour, the name of the concert series. But it was also very popular, says de Vries. “We went to four cinemas, and they all disappeared.”

A friend of hers managed to get one at a movie theater about an hour and a half drive from the Austrian city.
