Samsung Galaxy Watch7 Cannot Charge by Smartphones – Tablets & Phones – News

The new Samsung Galaxy Watch7 does not have Wireless PowerShare. This feature allows you to charge Galaxy watches wirelessly by placing them on the back of your phone.

Samsung says Wireless PowerShare is missing due to Galaxy Watch7’s new BioActive sensor Blog postThis sensor has a different design than its predecessors, which means that the glass back of the watch has also taken on a different shape.

This new shape ensures that the distance between the watch’s wireless charging coil and the wireless charger is greater. This distance is now so great that it is no longer possible to charge watches wirelessly via a smartphone. Conventional wireless chargers also now work less well: the distance between the two devices is now so great that charging is slow and more heat is generated. Samsung therefore recommends using the wireless charger that comes with the watch.

Samsung introduced the Galaxy Watch7 this week. The watch features an optical heart rate monitor, dual-band GPS receiver, and the new Samsung Exynos W1000 pentacore SoC. What’s more, the watch looks pretty much identical to its predecessors. Furthermore, the Galaxy Watch Ultra was introduced. Tweakers has written a preview of both watches.
