ROG Ally graphics shell gets improved UI and shareable game profiles – Gaming – News

ASUS has released Armoury Crate SE version 1.5. The company has overhauled the ROG Ally’s graphical interface, added a light mode, and introduced shareable game profiles. It’s now also possible to delete games from Armoury Crate SE.

ASUS writes that the Armoury Crate SE 1.5 should look more like a console. In a press releaseUsers also have more options to customize the user interface. The graphical skin has a new horizontal layout and list view of games, and there is also a tab with favorite games and a search engine.

Users can now also permanently delete games via Armoury Crate SE. This is done via a shortcut to the Windows Settings menu. ASUS has also equipped version 1.5 of the software with Game Profiles. These are specific profiles with settings for each game. These profiles can be shared with other ASUS ROG Ally users, including any Button assignments. Game profiles also provide the ability to directly enable or disable features such as AMD Fluid Motion Frames, Radeon Supersolution, and Radeon Anti-Lag.

ASUS has added a new 900p resolution option in Armoury Crate SE version 1.5, as well as gyro sensor settings and joystick input. The minimum brightness has also been reduced from 25 to 10cd/m². All of this was evident in the quick test published by Tweakers about ASUS ROG Ally. It is now also possible to perform BIOS updates directly from the graphics shell.
