In the introduction to his new novel, “A Book from Another Place,” Keanu Reeves, 59, reflects on his mother and the mother of all readers of the work. The actor is known to have a good relationship with his mother.
“For life, for storytelling, for love”
During his appearance at Comic-Con in San Diego, the Canadian read a short excerpt from the introduction to his book, a novel inspired by his comic book. BRZRKRIt was written with British author China Miéville.
“Dedicated to our mothers: for life, for storytelling, for love,” Keanu said, as fans in the audience greeted the introduction with cheers and affectionate “ahhhs.”
BRZRKR The film revolves around an immortal assassin who travels through time and searches for his origins dating back 80,000 years. The comic is also being adapted into a movie: streaming service Netflix wants to turn it into an anime series and a feature film.
Keanu has expressed his love and gratitude for his mother, Patricia Taylor, many times throughout his career. At the 2020 Oscars, he even took her on the red carpet.
