Jabra unveils the updated Elite 8 Active and Elite 10 phones with an audio streaming box – Image and Sound – News

Jabra announces the second generation of Elite 8 Active and Elite 10, priced at 229 and 279 euros, respectively. The earbuds come with a special case that can stream music from another source to the earbuds. These are the last earbuds to be released by the brand.

The Elite 8 Active Gen 2 and Elite 10 Gen 2 come in a “LE Audio Smart Box,” which can be connected to different audio sources using a USB-C cable or 3.5mm jack. The case supports Dolby Audio, with the Elite 10 also supporting Dolby Head Tracking and Dolby Atmos.

Jabra didn’t reveal the case’s battery capacity, but the Elite 8 Active should be able to provide up to 32 hours of power, while the Elite 10 should get around 27 hours, in both cases with active noise cancellation enabled. The earbuds last eight and six hours respectively on a single battery charge. Both products support Transparency Mode, but Jabra calls this “adaptive hybrid active noise cancellation” for the Elite 8 Active and “advanced active noise cancellation” for the Elite 10. In both cases, noise cancellation is said to be up to two times more effective compared to first-generation equivalents . Both headphones support multipoint connections.

The audio brand simultaneously announces the end of development of wireless earbuds with both sets of earbuds. Support for the products should continue in the coming years, but Jabra did not specifically say for how long. As far as we know, the Elite 8 Active Gen 2 and Elite 10 Gen 2 are the brand’s last true wireless earbuds.
