British actresses call for a hotline to combat bullying and sexual harassment RTL Street

Britse actrices willen meldpunt voor pesten en seksuele intimidatie

Several famous British actresses have issued an open letter calling on companies working in the creative industry to provide financial support to set up a creative sector hotline. The letter was signed by Cara Delevingne (31 years old), Naomie Harris (47 years old), and Keira Knightley (39 years old), among others.

“This problem must be addressed through the collective action of everyone.”

The creation of the CIISA Reporting Center stems from the MeToo movement in the United Kingdom. The Reporting Center must investigate complaints in the music, film, theater and television industries. It then focuses on issues such as bullying and sexual harassment.

Funds are currently being raised to operate the reporting center, but this is not happening very quickly. Therefore, the signatories request financial support. “Having a single point of contact through which people can seek assistance, mediation, advice on conflict resolution and other services is essential,” they wrote. “This problem must be addressed by working together, and must become the global blueprint for keeping our creative industries healthy.

Several major media parties such as the BBC, Sky, ITV, Channel 4 and Viacom have already agreed to support CIISA. “We would like to thank those organizations who have already taken the courageous step of making the latest financial commitment, and urge those who have not yet done so to join us so we can make CIISA a reality.”

The letter was signed with 25 stars. In addition to the actresses, the film also features a number of male actors, including Jay Remmers, Johnny Sweet, Joshua McGuire, and Rob Cawsey. The letter was also signed by Emerald Fennell, Gemma Chan, Carey Mulligan and others.
