Parts of Austria are experiencing flooding and landslides after heavy rain. Carinthia, Tyrol and Styria in particular are experiencing severe weather.

There are no reports of casualties. However, in many places, basements and streets are flooded. Two German tourists were rescued by rescue services in Zillertal last night when their car was suddenly trapped by rapidly rising water.

The ANWB warned Dutch holidaymakers in the area that many roads were closed due to flooding and landslides.

Last month, heavy rains and floods also caused disruption and damage in Austrian cities and towns.
