Version 4.1.0 of xd-AntiSpy has been released. This program is the spiritual successor to XP-AntiSpy, which can disable various options for sending information to Microsoft, including automatic updating and authentication functions. Xd-AntiSpy was developed primarily for Windows 11, but it is also quite usable under Windows 10. The changelog for this version can be found below.
Changes in xd-AntiSpy version 4.1.0
- Improved XD-Antispy UI: I’ve improved the XD-Antispy interface to improve navigation convenience while maintaining the classic XP-Antispy look. Future releases will continue to prioritize this aesthetic. I’ve also launched Survey to gather feedback on how you would like the XD-Antispy user interface to evolve.
- Improved Windows 11 24H2 support: We have fixed and improved support for Windows 11 24H2.
- Massive code refactoring: Major improvements and cleanups in the codebase.
- JavaScript is disabled in plugins: In my version of C++, JavaScript code was supported in plugins, but this is now permanently disabled.
- Performance Improvement: To improve startup and response times, some settings checks will now time out and will be skipped if they take too long.
- Optional Debloater: A feature not present in the original XP-AntiSpy, the Optional Debloater is now located under the Applications tab and has been further improved.
- Many Bug Fixes: I’ve squashed a bunch of minor bugs for a smoother experience.
