TCL unveils QM891 mini LED TV with 115-inch diagonal and 20,000 dimming zones – Picture and Sound – News

I’m not saying one is better than the other.
It’s another one expertise.
..
With a display (especially in a bat cage) you don’t actually see anything other than the screen. No speakers, no furniture, no distractions. This means that you are completely absorbed in the image. The image looks very calm, because it is related to reflective technology. The best is like what you get at the movies. “This is what it should look like.”

This is in contrast to a television. A large glass pane through which light comes out. I bet you wouldn’t feel like looking at a 115-inch screen in a completely dark room. And certainly not a short distance away. For example, I’m sitting at a height of 2.85 meters and looking at a 100-inch display. No problem.

You can place a TV like this in the living room, with daylight or ambient lighting. This makes it a different experience. Less immersive.
What you prefer is personal.
One is not better than the other.
This is what I mean by “TV can’t replace projector” ;)
But I don’t think you’ll really understand that until you have a projector in a bat cave :)

Edit: I’m now watching the LTT video, but Linus is watching it in a dark room…
He also talks about “strabismus.”
Pfft…didn’t see me 8)7
