Nederweert – Update – On Monday around 8:25 p.m., firefighters and police were alerted to an alleged Kentucky fire in Nederweert.
In Kentucky, an alarm was raised after a milkshake machine smelled of burning and there was a power outage. The fire brigade rushed to the scene, but ultimately did not have to carry out firefighting work. An electrical short was suspected.
This caused not only KFC to temporarily lose power, but also to the McDonald’s restaurant next door. In addition, there was a noticeable difference in voltage at Nederweert and Weert, including the lights in the homes briefly flickering.
There are currently no guests at KFC Restaurant. However, across the street at McDonald’s there were still people inside. However, there is no fire or smoke in Kentucky.
The fire team is currently investigating the KFC restaurant and a technician will first have to arrive at the site before the restaurant can open again. In any case, it is safe for employees to be able to enter the building again.
to update: It is currently being investigated whether the short circuit in the milkshake machine is the cause of the voltage problems, or whether the voltage problems are actually the problem with the machine.
