Fumiko Totori, mother of the Japanese Princess Hisako, has died at the age of 96. The court reported to Japanese media that she died on Tuesday due to old age in a home for the elderly in Tokyo.
Therefore, the princess has a mourning period of ninety days. So the princess will not go to New Zealand and Australia for the Women’s World Cup later this week.
Hisako (70), widow of Prince Takamado, who died in 2002. He was a cousin of Emperor Emeritus Akihito.
