Fans who filed a lawsuit against Madonna (65 years old) because her concert in New York started two hours late have withdrawn the lawsuit. TMZ reported this based on court documents. This usually indicates settlement, according to the entertainment site.
Fan lawyers claimed that delaying the concert caused harm to people who had to wake up early to work or take care of their families. The complaint also stated that partygoers faced limited transportation options and people were stranded in the middle of the night.
Lawyers argue that Madonna’s late start time and failure to offer a refund violate the law. The lawsuit accused the “Queen of Pop” not only of breach of contract, but also of “false advertising, negligent misrepresentation and deceptive business practices.”
The case is now no longer ongoing. Madonna and her lawyers had previously appealed to the judge to dismiss the lawsuit. The singer often makes her fans wait for her performances. The American also started her two concerts in Amsterdam about an hour and a half later.
