Former senators Lance Weaver and Marcelo Pendleton stepped into the positions of Treasurer and Vice President, respectively, at Student Government Association’s General meeting last Tuesday.

They were both nominated by President Yancy and approved by a two-thirds vote of the standing senate.

Ahmed Adewodu and Mariel Kanene were appointed as senators into the Senate, filling out the ranks for the upcoming semester.

“I’m really astonished I’m amazed that our senators have finally come to an agreement to elect Vice President,” Pendleton said. “I’m ready for call to duty and to get ready to serve the student body.”

Pendleton said that he wants to work to increase SGA’s presence on campus.
